YOUR HEALING JOURNEY STARTS NOW!
Welcome! We are glad you are here. If you or a loved one is experiencing emotional distress, suffers from boundary problems, low self-esteem or identity issues, has gone through trauma/abuse, has experienced narcissistic abuse, or has suffered ethnic or racial discrimination we are able to assist you. If you or a loved one is struggling with determining your true identity and self-purpose, with determining career choice or true passion in life, or are part of a minority group of LGBTQ community; we are able to help!
Our typical clients tend to be those who despite experiencing significant distress and having at least two to three of the above issues ongoing simultaneously, may function at least moderately well, have the capacity (at least some extent) to work, are able to attend visits, and do not require or need a caretaker. Our clients typically can make their own appointments and are able to self manage.
We employ the latest scientifically and evidence based treatments such as, CBT, and EMDR to help treat the above-mentioned problems in a safe, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental environment where you and/or your child can feel safe and can find support and healing. Our clients enjoy our holistic approach and our application of person centered principles.
We engage in frequent continuing education and conduct frequent research about common disorders and evidenced based treatments in order to offer effective and up to date treatments to our clients.
We specialize in treatment of adult disorders. We treat depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety through CBT and mindfulness based interventions, as well as other interventions such as DBT. We treat narcissistic abuse, through trauma focused therapy, boundary setting and self esteem improvement techniques. We can assist with PTSD symptoms (through trauma-focused interventions and through EMDR).

What to expect during your initial visit.
-During your first visit you will spend approximately 45-55 minutes getting to know your provider and them getting to know you. The first visit is an opportunity to evaluate if you and your provider or your child and your provider are a good match to work together and to learn more about each other. Please keep in mind that the first session is not a guarantee or a commitment on any party's part to remain in treatment; it is instead an opportunity to evaluate ability to work together.

-You will have a chance to discuss any concerns or questions about the terms/conditions of treatment, about your provider, or about treatment as a whole. You will be asked questions about your mental health or that of your child if the patient is a child, and relevant facts.
-Please know that you do not have to share in detail any life event or current issue that you do not wish to discuss. Instead, your provider and you will work together on building trust during sessions and when you are ready, you may share more.
-During your first session the provider and you will discuss diagnosis/diagnostic impression of you or your child, therapeutic goals, and a treatment plan. our provider will also discuss with you tips for you to make the best of your sessions and how to prepare for future meetings.
We look forward to working with you!

Breaking the stigma about mental health.
--One of our biggest commitments at Mindful Freedom is ending the stigma about mental health treatment.
We are comitted to helping our clients work through the barriers that prevent them from obtaining the help they need. Often times we are hesitant to reach out for help fearful of judgment, worried about having to engage in uncomfortable conversations. We worry about what others will say now that we are in therapy, we worry about what being in therapy says about us.
--Please know that therapy can be a beautiful journey of self discovery and that only with knowledge about ourselves we reach our true potential. Therapy can be that safe place where you can be yourself and speak freely.
--Anyone can benefit from therapy. Therapy is not only for the severely ill. Therapy is as much for the common population as it is for those who are experiencing severe and chronic psychological symptoms. Dont allow stigma to get on the way of the current you and the improved version of yourself!
